Marsha Fleischer is a risk consultant of the German company GRB Gesellschaft für Risiko-Beratung mbH, Detmold, a subsidiary of the Ecclesia Group.

GRB supports healthcare facilities in the prevention of harmful events in patient care.

At GRB, Marsha Fleischer is responsible for the competence center “development and evaluation of prevention measures” based on failure analysis. She supervises GRB’s special assessment instrument (riskala®). With that assessment tool, the Since 2011, Marsha Fleischer together with Prof. Winfried Zinn from the German research group Metrik, has been engaged in finding an indicator that measures patient safety. The patient safety index of GRB has been developed. Now it is possible for healthcare companies to objectively measure the level of their clinical management or of their clinical processes.

Marsha Fleischer wrote a chapter in a book concerning the patient safety index:

In addition, Marsha Fleischer is responsible for developing services to improve patient safety beyond the borders of German-speaking countries.

In Italy, she is responsible for the subsidiary of GRB in Rome, which was founded in 2018.
