Smart Hospitals, when the infrastructure starts to speak

Kristof Dupon graduated in ‘97 as master in engineering, automation at K.U.Leuven. He started his career in network & telecommunications infrastructure at Proximus and Ericsson as system analyst and project manager. In 2009 he made a switch to the building & construction industry managing the first phase of the new build hospital at AZ Groeninge, Kortrijk.
After the hospital was taken into service, Kristof’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the start-up of Building-IQ, a systems integrator in the domain of building automation and monitoring. The company grew successfully between 2011 and 2018 when it was fully acquired by EEG group.
Since then, Kristof is active as Innovation Manager at EEG group, investigating opportunities to further digitize EEG’s business and customer offering with a strong interest in Smart Building & Smart Hospital.
