Margot Cloet studied educational sciences. She started off her professional career being co-founder of Minor-Ndako, an organisation in Brussels with grass roots in special youth care. After that period of time Margot Cloet was consecutively counsellor, spokeswoman, deputy cabinet manager and cabinet manager at the Flemish cabinet concerning Welfare, Health and Family. She worked for three ministers: Vanackere, Heeren and Vandeurzen. From that perspective she participated in the negotiations resulting in the sixth Belgian state reform which had a huge impact on care and welfare in Belgium, including its regions. From 2017 on Margot Cloet is managing director of Zorgnet-Icuro, the biggest interest group of care providers in Flanders.
