Mr. Flament Jan

Jan Flament started his career in Antwerp in the Public Hospitals (AZ Jan Palfijn, Merksem). In this period he created the first automated SMS-server interacting with patients (2002) in a Belgian hospital. After several years with the ZNA-group (Hospital Network Antwerp) as HR-manager, he started with the RUZB-CHAB as general coordinator. RUZB-CHAB is an organization that promoted the activities of the 7 Belgian University Hospitals through common communication and analyzing internal processes. In 2008 he started in the University Hospitals of Brussels as responsible for patient-administration, facilities, technical services and masterplanning. A period in which his teams created several innovative projects like a campus smart grid, a realization that was awarded with the IFMA public award project of the year. Also in this period a series of new initiatives were started aimed at improving interaction with and experience of patients like live music concerts in waiting rooms, a pop-up store concept for patient-information, an AI-tool to interact with all patients within the hospital about the service they received,… In 2018 Jan Flament received the IFMA Belgium Facility Manager of the year award. In that same year he started as CEO in the Hospital of Geel.
