Transparancy is the key for future proof healthcare: vision from the European perspective
Gregory Katz is Chaired Professor of Innovation Management & Value in Health at University Paris-Descartes Medical School. He is the founding Director General of the Consortium VBHC France, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to accelerate the emergence of Value Based Health Care and quality registries based on health outcomes that matter to patients.
His research activities focus on innovation management in life sciences & value based health care.
As pro bono activities, he was Vice-President of Eurocord Association from 2004 to 2008, an international platform for clinical research on cord blood stem cell transplantation. He was a board member of the European School of Surgery (2009-2012), Chairman of the Scientific Board of GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines Global Innovation Fund (2012-2015), and Chairman of the Think Tank Digital Leaders in Health (2018). Prof. Katz received several distinctions such as the San Benedetto International Prize for his achievements in bioethics and humanism (2009) and the Special Jury Award from the French Fédération de l’Hospitalisation Privée (2012). In 2015, he was invited as eminent scholar for the Grand Rounds Lecture at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles.
