Antwerp University Hospital (UZA), with its 573 beds is situated in the south west of the province of Antwerp.
It is an academic centre for leading clinical and customer friendly patient care, high-quality academic education and groundbreaking scientific research with a major international dimension. It is one of Belgium’s seven university hospitals.
Focusing on innovation, including in terms of service
Johnson & Johnson, which has been firmly established in the healthcare landscape for 130 years and situated in 126 countries with 132,000 employees, was really keen to be involved in the 28th European Association of Hospital Managers congress. We caught up with Fabrice Degenève, Managing Director Medical Devices at Johnson & Johnson for Belgium and Luxembourg, and Pascale Degrève, Director Strategic Capabilities at Johnson & Johnson for Belgium and Luxembourg.
For the first time the European Association of Hospital Managers, EAHM, will organise an innovation award competition. This award will be given to the top three of innovations in a European Hospital in 2018-2019 with a proven added value for the healthcare ecosystem.
The innovation project will be introduced by the CEO or CMO of a European hospital and involves a project realized in 2018-2019 in the hospital or from the hospital in its integrated care eco-system. The project is presented in the attached abstract submission.
